Lower-Impact Aikido Class

There is no falling or very limited falling in this class. The low-impact nature of it makes it ideal for anyone with adaptive physical needs. All of the major principles and elements of Aikido are explored in a way that makes it completely accessible to those who are not in a position to include repetitive falling or impactful exercise in their training. It is instructed by Goldberg Sensei and Jay Palm. During the term of this class, you will practice the following in the context of aikido technique:

• Centering the body-mind system
• Moving more effortlessly and freely
• Connecting to energy and circumstances
• Blending with conditions as they are
• Cultivating undeveloped dimensions of yourself

The next 8-week session is January 12 to March 1, 2012 (Thursdays 12:00-1:00). Those without an aikido training uniform may wear sweats or regular training clothes.

This class is included with Aikido of San Diego membership. If you're not an ASD member and wish to take this class, you may register for it below.
